8 random questions to SIR REG

Mattias Söderlund – Bass

1. What kind of music do you listen to today?

Today I listened to The Clash and some Lucinda Williams. But you would find records by everybody from Mastodon to Swedish crooner Gunnar Wiklund in my record collection.

2. What embarrassing songs might I find on your MP3 player?

I think that depends on what you would think is embarrassing, but give me two bottles of red wine and access to Spotify and you will find out. Sooner or later you will cringe.

3. What hidden talents do you have?

I think that would be cooking. Well, it might not be such a hidden talent. And I’m not completely rubbish at reversing with a trailer.

4. What’s your scariest experience?

Maybe not scary as such, but I once thought I was going to die at a concert. I fell down in the mosh pit at a Napalm Death gig at Cirkus in Stockholm. I remember looking up at the painted ceiling and just feeling surprised that this was my last moment. The next second someone pulled my to my feet. But it was not the way I thought I would react. And was really scary to drive alone in the middle of the night over mountains in a blizzard.

5. What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

I have had more jobs than average concerning shit, feces, metabolical waste. But the most hilarious job, to anyone who knows how athletic I am, is when I was a substitute gym-teacher.

6. Name something you love, and why.

Apart from the obvious answers like my girlfriend, kid, cats and dogs, I love the balance and contrast in my life. Sometimes I’m on tour, playing loud music on stage and sometimes I’m at home sitting outside my house listening to the wind in the trees and birds singing.

7. The apocalypse is around the corner – what do you do?

I have no idea. Either, something irrational or something very rational. I think that depends on if I accept my fate or not.

8. Dream venue?

A great gig in bar is still better than a mediocre one at Madison Square Garden.

Karin Ullvin – Violin

1. What kind of music do you listen to today?

I listen to documentaries without music.

2. What embarrassing songs might I find on your MP3 player?

Don’t know. I hope I might find my MP3 player.

3. What hidden talents do you have?

I can snort a condom trough my nostril and throat.

4. What’s your scariest experience?

See above.

5. What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

Music teacher.

Went from salesman to warehouse boy, delivering furnitures around Uppland (Sweden).

6. Name something you love, and why.

I like to see myself as a young (but way lazier and untrained) Thomas Wassberg, hehehe.
Hitting the ski-tracks a sunny winter morning, crossing the mires is almost as fantastic as doing a great gig.

7. The apocalypse is around the corner – what do you do?

Probably eating brains.

Torsten Flinks garage or maybe Dahalla. Can’t decide.

Chris Inoue – electric Guitar
